My name is Anthony. I play with sound, media, and performance. Hopefully, this play does good.

[geography]
I was born in London.
Mom is from Turkey, Dad is Native Nanticoke.
I live in my hometown of New York City.
[growth]
I grew up in a punk band.
I am no longer in that punk band.
I still try to abide by some punk ethos,
while calmly reading theory.

My hypercollaborative work pulls from practices of electroacoustic composition, oral history, and experimental performance to build environments for communal understanding.

These works exist as publicly as radio broadcasts and as privately as personal messages sent through a telephone, but they are all intended to bring listeners together. There is an intention of support throughout my work: to support others, to support joy, support exploration, and revelation. I believe that is a way to form a greater community.

My current work is focussed on Hit Play, The Kitchen Project, and electroacoustic collaborations with Kyra Sims

Persistent areas of interest/research include: telephone art, artistic selfhood, shrouded histories, plasticity of the voice, land and space, and their ties to indigeneity.

I am the Technical Director of The New York Neo-Futurists
I am the Production and Facilities Manager at Mercury Store
I sometimes teach at Wesleyan University

I hold an M.F.A. in Sound Art from Columbia University.
